VISIT OF BISHOP JAMES TO COBHAM DEANERY, FEBRUARY 2013
Since his arrival in 2010, Bishop James has emphasised that a pivotal element in his patoral oversight of us is in getting to know people right across Rochester Diocese. To this end he has set up and embarked on a rolling programme of visits to each of the Diocese's Deaneries. This month it is Cobham's turn. Bishop James's visit conincides with Ash Wednesday. So this year, we will be joining with the rest of the deanery at Cobham for our Ash Wednesday Eucharish on Wednesday February 13th at 7:30. There will also be other events which congregation members will be invited to take part in. Do listen out for notices regarding these both in church and at www.longfieldchurch.org .
Bishop James's visit will conclude with a special deanery service at Longfield Church on Sunday 17th February at 4pm. We very much look forward to meeting with Bishop James and hearing more about his thoughts for the months and years ahead.

We are a friendly and active Anglican church in the centre of Longfield
seeking to worship God and bring the love of Jesus Christ to the whole
We hope to provide a variety of worship styles to make our church accessible for all ages and backgrounds.
We aim to meet together, not just on Sundays to worship, but throughout the week to build friendships through social activities and learn about our faith in different settings.
